Your Wealthy Place

By Creflo A. Dollar

Many people today live from paycheck to paycheck, struggling to make ends meet. That is not truly living; it is merely surviving. Tragically, many of the people who live this way are born-again Believers. But that’s not the way God intended for our lives to be. Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Yet far too many Christians know little or nothing of the abundant life that Jesus came to bring. And many who do find it hard to believe that abundance is God’s desire for them.

If you are a Believer and you want to receive the abundant life, you can do so by abiding in the anointing. “But ye have an unction [anointing] from the Holy One, and ye know all things…and this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life” (1 John 2:20, 25). The word unction comes from a Greek word that means “to smear or anoint with an ointment.” The purpose of this unction is to enable you to know all the things you need to know so that you can accomplish whatever it is you need to do. You have an unction to function!

The entire human race can tap into the anointing through Jesus Christ and put an end to life’s struggles. You can experience breakthrough in every area of your life, including your finances! And you don’t have to look on the outside for something you already have on the inside. You have abundance, millionaire status, a potentially prosperous idea, a million-dollar revelation or a corporation on the inside of you! For example, if you are anointed to sew beautiful garments, seek God for wisdom to discover how you can profit from this empowerment. You don’t have to spend another day struggling to pay your bills or trying to accumulate wealth. Instead, allow the anointing to enhance your talents, skills and abilities.

The anointing is not given just to provide miraculous manifestations in church services. Although it will bring miracles when Believers get together, that is not its primary purpose. With the anointing, you can break through all human limitations. Instead of being limited by your natural ability, you operate in supernatural power. In other words, the anointing equips you to have a quality of life that is far above and beyond anything you would normally experience on your own. It is God’s assurance that you will always prosper regardless of the circumstances.

Deuteronomy 8:18 says, “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth….” The word “power” simply means the ability to get results. The way you release power is by tapping into the anointing God has placed on your life. Not only does it remove burdens and destroy yokes (Isaiah 10:27), but it also births power, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2). When these seven facets of the anointing are operating in your life, nothing can prevent you from entering your wealthy place!

Boost Your Confidence!

Creflo A. Dollar

In spite of all your praying, confessing, believing and claiming, are you still failing to see the manifestation of God’s promises of healing, provision and deliverance in your daily life? If the answer is yes, you might be missing a key component to your faith: confidence.

When the Bible uses the word confidence, it means “assurance” or “complete and total persuasion.” It also closely parallels the meaning of “trust.” When you trust something, you have confidence in it. As a Believer, you must trust God and His Word. After all, He is not a liar: “Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19, AMP).
how to play ukulele
Faith comes by meditating on the Word. The more you meditate and practice what you learn, the more confident you will become. When you are full of confidence, you know that God’s Word is going to produce exactly what it says it will. Regardless of the circumstances, a confident person says, “I am fully persuaded that the Word will come to pass.” This was true for Abraham. Romans 4:21 says, “And [Abraham] being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able to perform.” When Abraham became fully persuaded that God would keep His promise to give him a child, Sarah conceived Isaac. Likewise, you will not see the miraculous manifestations of God’s promises in your life until you become fully persuaded.

Another area where many Christians lack confidence is in the ministry of the Holy Spirit. I believe this is largely due to the tremendous amount of confusion in the body of Christ concerning this subject. Many people think that the Holy Spirit is little more than an emotion or a feeling. But those are only outward expressions of His presence. The truth of the matter is, the Holy Spirit is a real Person with whom you must establish a real relationship. Failure to do so prevents Him from carrying out His mission in your life.

The Holy Spirit is the most valuable asset in the life of a Believer. He is your invisible Partner Who has been sent to be your Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Counselor, Comforter and Standby (John 14:16, AMP). You must acknowledge His presence in your life by placing your trust and confidence in Him. Yet as in any relationship, you cannot build trust unless you spend time together. Therefore, purpose in your heart to spend time with Him in prayer, fellowship with Him in worship, and get to know Him by reading the Word. Ultimately, you will become fully persuaded that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you (Romans 8:11)! As a result, the Holy Spirit will lead and guide you into all truth (John 16:12-13).

Difficult Auditions!

Lately I’ve been researching on music schools in NYC. It looks like they all require auditions and have very high standards for their prospective students.

Apple’s iPhone 4S had a huge weekend on store shelves, the company announced today.

Apple said that it sold 4 million iPhone 4S units worldwide between Friday and Sunday. According to Apple senior vice president for worldwide product marketing, Phil Schiller, that figure is “more than double the iPhone 4 launch during its first three days.” Last year, Apple announced that it sold 1.7 million iPhone 4 units in the smartphone’s first weekend of availability.

That said, it’s worth noting that at least in the U.S., the iPhone 4S had a bit of an advantage over the iPhone 4. When Apple shipped the iPhone 4 last year, the device was available only to AT&T customers. The handset then came to Verizon Wireless earlier this year and Sprint last week. The iPhone 4S, however, launched with availability on Sprint’s and Verizon’s networks, in addition to AT&T’s service.

Apple’s iPhone 4S, which launched on Friday, features the same design as the iPhone 4, but adds several improvements, including a dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera, and full 1080p HD video recording. The device also ships with support for virtual personal assistant application, Siri.

Last week, several analysts chimed in on how many unit sales they expected Apple to sell over the weekend. The majority of those folks said that sales would likely hit between 2 million units and 3 million units. However, the Yankee Group thought sales could hit 4 million units.

“The biggest factor driving this is the huge loyalty associated with Apple phones,” Yankee Group analyst Carl Howe said. “They have the highest loyalty of any of the smartphone OSes.”

For the first time, Sprint was a beneficiary of that. The company reported on Friday that as of 10 a.m. PT, it had witnessed a record sales day. But it wasn’t alone: by 1:30 p.m. PT, AT&T said that it had activated a record number of iPhones.

The success of the iPhone 4S in its first weekend of availability seems to eliminate all doubt over consumer reactions to the device. Earlier this month, when Apple unveiled the new iPhone, the company was expected to show off the iPhone 5, as well. That device, rumors suggested, would be the major update consumers were expecting. After it wasn’t revealed, however, many called the event a disappointment. But the smartphone’s early sales figures seem to prove that many consumers had a much different reaction to the smartphone.

It also appears that some folks are moving to the iPhone 4S from other platforms. In an informal poll Reuters conducted on Friday, the news service found that nearly 25 percent of iPhone 4S buyers were ditching a BlackBerry OS-, Symbian-, or Android-based smartphone for Apple’s latest device.

Aside from the iPhone 4S, Apple also said that 25 million users have already started using its new mobile operating system version, iOS 5, and 20 million folks have signed up for iCloud.

Although 20 million iCloud users is impressive in its own right, some analysts believe the service will grow to much greater heights in the future. Over the summer, RBC Capital Markets released a study that found 76 percent of the 1,500 iPhone users it polled planned to sign up for iCloud. By applying that percentage to the entire market, the firm said that it believes as many as 150 million users could sign up for iCloud eventually.

Following its announcement, Apple’s shares are trading up $1.10 to $423.10 as of this writing.

We Can Control What We Put Into Our Mouths

There are a lot of things that we cannot control in life. We cannot control the weather, the air that we breathe and we can’t control the people around us. But we can control what we put into our mouths. Many people don’t realize today the reason they don’t feel well and the reason they don’t have any energy. They’re dealing with headaches and allergies and sometimes even more serious, chronic illnesses, simply because of what they’re putting into their system everyday.

Americans lead the world in heart disease. We have more cancer here per person than any other nation. We are the heaviest country with more people overweight. Some of this is hereditary, but much of it is because of the poor habits that we’ve developed concerning eating and because of the food that we are choosing.

And a lot of times, we’re praying for God to give us a miracle. “God, I don’t feel well.” “God, I need more energy.” And “God, take away these headaches. ”

Well, we really don’t need a miracle; we need a lifestyle change. We need to develop better habits to take care of our temple.

We really don't need a miracle; We need a lifestyle change

One expert said, the food in America was designed to sustain life but it was not designed to sustain health.

A hundred years ago, we didn’t have the heart disease and the cancer that we have today. What’s changed? Our diet. We live off of much more processed, refined foods; foods that have chemicals and preservatives to make them last longer but they’re not necessarily good for us.

We’ve developed bad habits of eating junk foods, eating too much food, and not drinking enough water. All of these things can be harmful to us.

We can learn a lot about the benefits from healthy eating from Daniel in the Bible. He knew the importance of eating a healthy diet. When he was a young man, just a teenager, the king in that region told the officials to go find the strongest, healthiest, most intelligent young men to serve in the king’s court. And Daniel was chosen. The officials were instructed to feed these young men with the king’s rich, fancy foods and to give them plenty of wine. The king wanted them to be the strongest and healthiest as they possibly could be.

But Daniel was a breed apart. He served God with his whole heart. Because he knew some of those foods had been offered up to idols and knew many of them were not good for him, he told the official, “I don’t want to eat this food. Just give me fresh vegetables and water.”

The official didn’t know what to think. Finally, he said, “All right Daniel, we’ll let you try this for a little while. But in a few days, we’re going to see how you compare to these other young men.”

Ten days later, the Bible says, Daniel was stronger, healthier, and he ended up 10 times smarter than the other young men. Yes, he had God’s blessings and favor but he was also putting the right fuels into his temple. While the other guys were eating their donuts, and candy bars and junk food, Daniel was filling up on nutritious foods.

I wonder how much smarter we would be if we’d just start eating the right foods? I wonder how much more creative, more energetic, and more productive we’d be if we’d eliminate a few of the sugars and instead, start eating more fruit. Or, if we’d start snacking on nuts and raisins and give up some of the colas and candy bars. It worked for Daniel. I bet it’d work for us.

I read about a small group of islands called Micronesia, over in the Pacific Ocean, not too far from the Philippines. For hundreds of years, this one particular island was inhabited by natives. They ate the traditional Polynesian diet: fruits and vegetables, coconuts and fresh fish. And as you can imagine, their health was extremely well. Very rarely did they have any kind of sickness and disease.

But after World War II, they discovered that the land was rich in phosphates and all kinds of minerals. So these big companies from the West came over and started to harvest the minerals, causing the people to become extremely wealthy. So much so, they quit farming. They quit fishing. They no longer had to rely on their natural sources for their food, the land and the sea. They started importing canned foods, frozen dinners, bakery items, colas, and candy bars from all over the world. They were on cloud nine.

They replaced their fruits and vegetables with desserts and bakery items. White flour and sugar filled products became the main source for food. And as you guessed it, their health began to severely decline. They started seeing diseases that they have never seen before: heart disease, cancers, and tumors. Do you know today, sadly, one in three people on that little island suffer from diabetes. What’s the difference? Obviously what they’re eating. And the only way to reverse a curse like that is to go back to the source and start eating more healthy.

Decide today to take care of your temple.

Decide today to take care of your temple. Don’t put things in that you know shouldn’t be in. Limit the sugars. Limit the caffeine. Drink more water. Eat more fruits and vegetables and don’t live off of these packaged lunchmeats. Eat more organic when you can. More baked and less fried.

I don’t know about you, but I need all the help I can get! I don’t want to get stagnant in life. I don’t want to come to a peak in my intelligence or a peak in my creativity just because I’m not putting the right nutrition in. I don’t want to be an old man falling apart. I want to be like Caleb; at eighty years old, and be able to say, “God, give me another mountain. Give me something else to do.”

I want you to be the happiest, healthiest, most prosperous people around. But you’ve got to do your part. Discipline yourself to make healthy choices. You may be fine now, but if you’re abusing your body later on it’s going to catch up to you.

That’s my prayer for each one of you. You can become all God’s created you to be. If you will make choices for your health and start developing better eating habits, then you’ll be just like Daniel and you’ll get stronger, healthier and wiser. You’ll even be better looking!

Love Never Fails

Creflo Dollar
With all the spiritual principles to learn and execute as Christians, there is one that we must never lose sight of. In fact, it must be our principle goal in life as Believers. It is the law of love, and it is a command from God. Walking in love is not a religious cliché; it is a lifestyle that must be cultivated. It is so important because it is what shows the world what God is really all about. Without love, we can do nothing.

First Corinthians 13 provides the guidelines for walking in love because it explains what love is and what it is not. When we can understand these principles and judge our behavior by the standard of God’s love according to the Word, we can begin to operate in the power God desires for our lives. Many times, we bring our own definitions of love to the table, which are usually based on our emotions. However, in order to truly walk in the biblical type of love, we must follow the Word’s outline.

The Apostle Paul begins the chapter by discussing some of the things that Christians use to gauge the success of their relationship with God. Verses 1-3 talk about speaking in tongues, prophesying, understanding the things of God, having a lot of biblical knowledge, having strong faith, and giving to the poor. While all these things are important and we may identify with them as Believers, none of them supersede walking in love. There are people who give to the poor and prophesy, but when it comes to their dealings with others, they can be as mean as a rattlesnake!

Verses 4-8 describe the characteristics of love—things we should be striving to exemplify in our relationships with others:

Love endures long and is patient and kind: love is never envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong] (The Amplified Bible).

What an impressive set of qualities! I am sure we can all think of times where we have failed to walk in love where our treatment of others is concerned. Sometimes our words and actions may be motivated out of jealousy and pride. As Christians, we can easily become “puffed up” and arrogant when we feel we have reached a certain spiritual level. Unfortunately, everything we do that is the opposite of love can be felt by others, and it can push them away from God. After all, if those in the body of Christ aren’t walking in love, who will be the true example?

In order to become better “lovers,” we must make an honest assessment of our lives. Have we allowed the responses of the flesh to dictate how we treat others? Has the enemy deceived us about what is really important? There is no doubt that we will be faced with situations and people that may push our buttons, or try to move us from our love walk, but we must purpose in our hearts to make the 1 Corinthians model of love our ultimate goal in life. From our marriages to our dealings with co-workers, family, and friends, we must always consider the love of God when interacting with others. If it doesn’t line up with God’s way of doing things, it must be rejected.

Renewing our minds to walk in love is a process. We all have our flesh to contend with and overcome. Before we came to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, many of us were used to responding to people and situations a certain way. The flesh, or way of thinking that opposes God’s Word, is always looking for an opportunity to express itself. It wants to fly off the handle, cuss folks out, and be selfish. However, those are the times when we must choose God’s way as an act of our will. If we miss the mark, we should at least have the ability to discern where we got out of love and get back on track by repenting and asking the Lord to forgive us.

The more we practice the principles outlined in 1 Corinthians 13, the more love will become “first-nature.” As we continue to renew our minds and walk in love on purpose, we will find ourselves being used mightily by God. There is no situation that cannot be overcome with the love of God. It never fails.

Laughter is Good Medicine

Make Sure You’re Taking Your Medicine

A lot of the sickness in our world is simply because we don’t have the joy that we should. When we live uptight and on edge, it causes headaches, digestive problems, lack of energy. We don’t sleep well. Much of this would go away if we would just learn how to deal with the stress properly. One of the greatest stress relievers God has given us is laughter. Laughter is like taking medicine. It not only makes you feel better but it actually releases healing throughout your system. When we laugh it restores and rejuvenates what the pressures of life have taken out.

Proverbs 17:22 puts it like this, “A happy heart is like a good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing.” Notice, when we’re good-natured and full of joy, taking time to laugh, taking time to play, it’s like taking a good medicine. That’s what helps us to stay healthy. In fact, medical science tells us that people that laugh, it boosts their immune system. Laughter reduces blood pressure. People that laugh regularly are 40% less likely to have a heart attack than people that don’t laugh regularly. Laughter triggers the right side of the brain, which helps release creativity, helps us to make better decisions. Laughter activates the body’s natural tranquilizers that not only help us to calm down but it helps us to sleep better.

I know this one lady, she hadn’t slept well in years and years. She was constantly taking tranquilizers. She had taken them so long it hardly even affected her anymore. She had tried everything, different diets, different doctors, different medicines. Nothing seemed to work. But this one doctor gave her a very unusual prescription. He said, “Every night before you go to bed, you need to watch something funny — a funny movie, a funny video, a funny drama — something that makes you laugh.” She started doing that night after night. Month after month she got better and better. Today she is totally off her medications. She can sleep like a baby.

Mom and Son Laughing

What happened

She was having to take man-made tranquilizers because she wasn’t releasing the natural tranquilizers that God put on the inside. Could it be that you would receive the healing you’ve been longing for if you would just lighten up and learn to laugh more often? Could it be that the headaches, backaches, migraines, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, even depression would go away if we would just take time to play, to laugh, to enjoy the life God has given us?

When my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 1981 this is one of the things that she did. During the day, instead of going to bed, instead of sitting around feeling sorry for herself, thinking about her problems, she would go in and watch cartoons on television. She would sit there and laugh and laugh. What was she doing? She was releasing the healing that God put on the inside. If she couldn’t find something funny to watch she’d just go look at my brother, Paul. That always made her laugh!

I know when I’ve had a hard day and I feel pressured and uptight it causes me to have a backache. Right down the center of my spine I can feel this pain and I know it’s just from tension. I do just what I’m asking you to do. I’ll go play with my children. They always make me laugh. Or, I’ll watch something funny on television. Invariably, after a few minutes of laughing that pain is totally gone. It’s just like I had a good massage but it was a lot cheaper! The medicine I’m talking about today can save you a lot of money. It can save you from buying sleeping pills, tranquilizers and anti-depressants. Laughter releases the body’s natural medicines. It can not only bring physical healing but laughter will help strengthen our relationships.

I have a good friend that is a doctor. He told how this lady came in that has a severe case of fibromyalgia. It’s very painful. She would spend hours a day in bed suffering. She had chronic fatigue, no energy. She was in poor health both physically and emotionally. She had gone through tough times and lived a basically very depressed life. The doctor gave her medication to treat the pain but he knew that was only dealing with the symptoms and not the root cause. After he talked with her a while he realized just how depressed she was. He asked her a very interesting question. He said, “How long has it been since you’ve had a good, hearty laugh?”

The lady thought about it a moment. She said, “Doctor, I haven’t laughed like that in over 30 years, since I was a child.”

He said, “Well, here’s your prescription. You need to go find every funny movie you can find. Go find every funny book you can read and laugh as much as you possibly can.”

She began to do just that. Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for herself she began to laugh. Little by little she got her joy back. Every day she would laugh more and more. She started feeling better. The pain began to subside. She got her energy back. Three months later she went back to the doctor for her checkup. He said the moment she walked in he could tell something was different. There was a sparkle in her eye, a spring in her step, a smile on her face.

She said, “Doctor, I’ve never felt so good in all of my life.”

Month after month, as she continued to relearn how to laugh, eventually, all those diseases left her body. There is too much sickness in our world today. Much of it is related to sadness. It’s directly related to the fact that we don’t smile enough. We live uptight and stressed out. What’s happening? There’s a healing power that we’re not tapping into.

Friends, there is healing power in laughter. When you have a joyful spirit constantly on the inside, health and healing are flowing. Let me ask you what the doctor asked her, “How long has it been since you’ve had a good, hearty laugh?” A day? A week? A month? A year? Ten years?

There’s a medicine available, a cure that is completely free. It has no side effects. You can take it as often as you’d like.

I’m going to give you a prescription today: Every day, at least three times, find something funny that makes you laugh out loud. Not a laugh on the inside. Not a chuckle down in here. No, release that joy out loud. Release those endorphins on the inside. Activate your natural tranquilizers.

Every time you laugh it boosts your immune system. It reduces your blood pressure. Tension leaves and creativity comes. If you’ll stay on this prescription and laugh every day with a happy heart, having a cheerful mind, then you’re going to sleep better. You’re going to get more done. You’ll have more energy. You’re going to make better decisions. You’ll be more creative. I believe even some of these areas of chronic pain, chronic fatigue, you’ll begin to see them go away.

Make sure you’re taking your medicine!
